BRANCH MANAGER/UNIVERSAL BANKER

Byron Bank is seeking a Branch Manager/Universal Banker for our Poplar Grove Branch in Poplar Grove, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have proven retail banking experience in a branch setting and knowledge of all aspects of the operations side including deposits and consumer loans.  This individual must possess the highest level of customer service, be responsible for selling bank products and services to increase the overall profit margins of the bank, and oversee the management and security of the branch.  Previous supervisory experience is required.  The Branch Manager/Universal Banker must be a professional who can promote and actively represent the Bank in the community.  This is not an entry level position.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Act as the leader of the branch; guaranteeing top-notch, quality service to our customers
  • Supervise, mentor, train and motivate staff of 3-4 individuals
  • Oversee branch activities including, teller, customer service functions, vault, ATM, etc.
  • Cultivate relationships, including working with marketing on promotions and special events
  • Cross sell and refer bank products and services to existing customers
  • Represent the bank, promote products and services in the community to increase customer base and ultimately improve profit margins
  • Open/close all types of personal and business accounts including IRA’s, CD’s, Trusts, HSA, SDB, and other specialty accounts, etc.
  • Place check holds, stop payments, and authorize check approvals ,etc. when needed
  • Familiarity and ability to guide and assist customers with online banking, mobile banking, and other services offered by the bank whether in person or on the phone
  • Follow all bank policy and federal bank regulations and see that they are properly carried out by branch staff
  • Take consumer loan applications, collect all required documentation, pull credit, submit to underwriting, assist in the approval process, contact customer with loan decision, and complete loan closing process
  • Other duties as assigned

COMMERCIAL LOAN OFFICER

Byron Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer for our Poplar Grove, IL branch.  This is a new position for this location.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing new commercial loan and business deposit relationships for this area.  This position represents the bank in the local community through participation in community affairs and participates in marketing and cross-selling of all relevant Byron Bank products and services. Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the commercial loan portfolio including overall relationship profitability and portfolio risk.
  • Establish and maintain business deposit and loans
  • Achieve improved profit margin through increased loan growth, deposit growth, net income and fee income
  • Business development and leadership through joint calling efforts and referrals
  • Active in various community organizations and events to increase bank’s visibility, develop relationships, and drive business opportunities
  • Cross selling bank products and services
  • Follow all bank policies and procedures and compliance rules and regulations

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 or more years of commercial lending experience
  • Good credit analysis and accounting skills

Byron Bank is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative/Bank Teller for our Davis Junction Branch in Davis Junction, IL. The ideal candidate will have proven retail banking experience in a branch setting.  This individual must possess the highest level of customer service, be responsible for selling bank products and services to increase the overall profit margins of the bank and build our customer base, as well as, assist/back-up Branch Manager and perform teller functions. Prior experience is required.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide top-notch, quality service to our customers cultivating lasting relationships
  • Be well versed and knowledgeable of all types of bank products and services
  • Open/close all types of personal and business accounts including IRA’s, CD’s, Trusts, HSA, Safe Deposit Boxes, Debit Cards, and other specialty accounts, etc.
  • Handle branch activities including teller, customer service, and ATM balancing, etc.
  • Cross sell and refer bank products and services to existing customers
  • Place check holds, stop payments, and authorize check approvals , etc.; open/close branch, handle vault duties and ensure security procedures are adhered to when Branch Manager is out or on vacation
  • Familiarity and ability to guide and assist customers with online banking, mobile banking, and other services offered by the bank whether in person or on the phone
  • Follow all bank policy and federal bank regulations
  • Ensure the utmost in confidentiality and privacy of critical customer information
  • May be asked, on occasion, to back-up CSR’s at other locations
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned
