Beginning with their interview we stress confidentiality to our employees. We remind them regularly of this obligation. The sensitivity of your financial information makes employee misuse a very serious matter which can result in their termination.

Computer and Information Collection

When you open an account or receive a loan from Byron Bank that information is entered into our computer system. We do all of our own computer work here at the bank. We have done this since 1988. All employees are given limits of access to the computer. In this way they can only look up information that pertains to the area they work in.

With Third Parties

Byron Bank does choose vendors and service companies that assist us in providing quality products and services to you. In these cases they only have access to your name and address not to any personal information. We are very strict with the companies we choose. They are not permitted to release, use for other purposes, or sell this information. Byron Bank does not sell customer information to outside parties.

We exchange certain information about our customers with selected credit reporting agencies in accordance with standard banking industry practice. Also, realize that when you get a mortgage it is filed with the county and it becomes public knowledge.

There may be occasions when we are legally required to disclose information about you such as for a subpoena, to prevent fraud, or to comply with a governmental agency.

Accuracy and right to Correct

We always strive to maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts. However, we are human and errors can occur. We will always personally investigate your concerns and correct any inaccuracies.
